Robot vacuums can be a convenient, fun way to keep your floors clean and debris-free. But the often high cost can be off-putting for first-time buyers. Thankfully there are models that work very well without costing an arm and a leg.
We seek out and test the most affordable robot vacuums on the market to help you find the best option for your budget and avoid lemons. Our most recent find turned out to be a real winner: the iLife A4s smart robot vacuum.
This little cleaning bot is the second best affordable robot vacuum we’ve ever tested, bested only by the ever-popular and constantly out-of-stock Eufy RoboVac11. In fact, the two are made with the same parts and are fairly similar in design and function. But the Eufy has a retail price of $219.99 whereas the iLife typically sells for $249.99. Right now, however, you can get the iLife for just $169.99 from Gearbest, and Walmart and Amazon have great discounts too.
What we liked about it
The iLifeA4s does a good job of sucking up dust, debris, and even pet hair. It’s lighter than most models at just under 5 pounds, which is handy when it’s banging around your floors. With no smart sensors or virtual wall capability, the iLife robot vacuum will blindly clean until its battery dies. In our tests, this resulted in a lot of bumping around and a longer cleaning cycle (and a clean floor). But we think the low price and convenience (you can set cleaning schedules) far outweigh these minor issues.
Where to get it
Gearbest has the lowest price, selling the iLife A4s for $169.99 with free shipping. But this is a flash deal and only a few units are left at this low price. If they’re gone, you can still find a great deal from Walmart and Amazon. There is a third-party seller at Walmart offering the iLife A4S for $179.78, and you can find this robot vacuum on Amazon for $199.99, which is still a fantastic price if the other deals are gone.
