Are they wireless? You bet. The Powerbeats 3 feature a class 1 Bluetooth chip—supposedly 10x stronger than the ever-popular class 2 chip. Plus, the chip is compatible with Apple's W1 wireless chip, making it easy as pie to connect to your iPhone (and if you have an Android, you'll still get the benefits of the class 1 chip's insane range).
Do they sound good? Sound good? They're among the best in-ears we've ever tested. With a proper fit, these in-ears offer a rich, clear sound with Beats' signature low-end oomph. The bass is heavy (but not too heavy) and there's hardly any distortion to speak of.
Do they fit comfortably and securely? Once you choose the right pair of tips for your ears, the Powerbeats' ear hook design keeps the buds firmly and comfortably in your ears. Now you're ready for the gym.
How's the battery? The battery is stellar. You can squeeze around 12 hours out of a full charge, and if you happen to find yourself in a pinch before a quick run, the Powerbeats can provide up to an hour of playback after just 5 minutes of charge-time.
